  1. As soon as they add Google Contacts into Mailbird like they do Google Calendar, then it will be viable as a replacement for eM Client/Thunderbird et al.

    Until then,...

  4. It has no possibility to import pop3-mail from other e-mail-apps. So, if you want to change your defaulr client to Mailbird, you need to keep your old program for your old mail. Also a problem is the spelling-checker. At this moment it checks all outgoing mail in the same way. If you want to write one mail in a different language, you have to change the checker for the whole application, and make a restart. THat is not practical. I do'nt think I will pay for it until these missings wil be corrected. Some other free programs may not have "the looks" but are more practical.

  5. This app is horrible slow and buggy, and totally not secure. Logging into a gmail account gives you warnings of "this app fails to meet modern security standards.". IT is also difficult to uninstall as well.

  6. Just upgraded to Windows 10 and have lost access to Windows Mail which did everything I wanted.

Been looking for an alternative that will allow me to import the last 16 years of mail, installed eM Client which looks reasonable, managed to import all my old emails plus some I lost years ago when Outlook Express crashed.

Problem with eM Client is it will be roughly £100 for two compters since I have more than two email accounts.

Just installed Mailbird, easy enough to set-up to receive Mail, however I am totally frustrated to find that there are no options to import my old mail, this makes Mailbird unusable from my perspective.

I can't believe that any developer would consider it reasonable to offer an import and export function ............. big thumbs down for me.

Off to uninstall Mailbird to see what other options exist.

    1. I agree with you. Mailbird has a lot of features but they don't have this import functionality which is really frustrating for me as well at the first time. I stayed with Mozilla Thunderbird and now using Mailbird just for new accounts.

I'm really sorry to hear that from you Unknown.

  7. Mailbird MIGHT be a good email app IF one could sort by Subject, Date, or Sender. However, that particular feat, available in ALL OTHER EMAIL apps, is not available in MailBird. Therefore, MailBird is only useful to people who do not get much email or only get email from their grandkids.

My recommendation, use Thunderbird or just about any other email app instead of MailBird.
